November Events...

We are planning our events for November at Revolver.

November 14th-
Rigsby turns 4 years old! He wants to hold a fundraiser for Best Friends Pet Adoption. Saturday, November 14th, we will throw him a party! Crumb bakery will be selling dog treats and people sweets. YUM! A percentage of our sales that day will got to BFPA.

"Best Friend Pet Adoption (BFPA) is a no-kill animal rescue organization based in central North Carolina. BFPA has no building, office, or shelter. We are an all-foster network committed to helping dogs and cats in need of homes. Individual donations are our most important source of income as we receive no public funding.
Our purpose is to provide medical assistance, foster homes, and adoption services to previously lost, abandoned, abused, or neglected animals in Wake County, NC and the surrounding counties. Our mission is to educate this disposable society in which we live that every life should be valued and cherished and is directly linked to human responsibility and commitment."

November 19th, Thursday night, Revolver turns 4 years old! We will have a fun event with Adam Peele from 7-10. Art, clothing, music & fun!

FALL IS HERE...

Revolver is so excited about all the fabulous Fall/Winter clothing & accessories we have gotten in!!!
I think this is our best season yet.

Plus we have also been party planning:

We are kicking off a fashionable Fall with designer Amanda DeLeon and artist Kristin Matwiczyk on October 22nd. The party is on a Thursday night from 7 to 10pm. We will have beautiful paintings by Kristin Matwiczyk. She is showing her "Surreal Botany" series. I have seen a preview and love it! Check out her site www.kmatw.com
Also that night Amanda Deleon, from Wilmington NC, is coming to Revolver for a trunk show. She is a fashion forward clothing designer. You can check out her style at amandadeleon.com
We are so excited to have them both! This will be a fantastic show. We will have models, music, cocktails, fun! Hope to see you there...

November 14th is Rigsby's birthday! That cute little pup will be 4 years old. For his birthday he asked to help support the animals that aren't as fortunate as he. So, we are having a fundraiser that day. More details to come...

November 19th Revolver is celebrating 4 years in the biz. We are showing work by our 20th consignor and first local designer Adam Peele of AHPeele. Wow, I remember pricing his t-shirts on the back computer late night at 2011 Fairview gearing up for the shop opening. Hadley Watson is the wonderful friend that saved me with her fast typing skills. I was a little too slow and distracted to get it all done. Thank you Hadley! I am thrilled to show his artwork and clothing for our 4 year celebration! Thank you Adam for inviting me to your apartment to pick out funny and original tee's! You've come a long way baby!

December 10th will be Marilyn Duval's paintings and Jill Heffinger's jewelry! You will just have to wait to see the awesomeness!

February 12th Brandi Bowen from Creative Bee Design will have jewelry and paintings. This will get you folks in the mood for Valentine's Day. You can pick something out for your Valentine, friend, or yourself!

Revolver will be at the Traffic Jam Flea Market in support of Interact

This Saturday, August 29th, is the Traffic Jam Flea Market. We will be selling designer clothes and accessories. Revolver gives each of our consignor's the option to donate or pick up their clothes after 3 months. If they choose donate then we donate the items to Interact. Interact either sells them in their shop or allows the families they are helping to shop for free.

Interact is:
A private, nonprofit, United Way agency that provides services to victims and survivors of domestic violence and rape/sexual assault through safety, support, and awareness. For more on Interact check out their website www.interactofwake.org

This Saturday we will be selling some of the clothing and accessories that either did not sell or are slightly damaged. All of the proceeds will go to Interact. Interact uses the money for services such as:
-24-hour crisis lines
-Counseling/Support Groups
-Specialized Latino Services
-Court Advocacy
-Emergency Residential Shelter
-Hospital Response/ S.A.F.E. Center
-Specialized Children Services


The Traffic Jam Flea Market will be held in the parking lot and the icy cold shop of Adam Peele's (AhPeele). His shop is located at 400 Capital Blvd in Raleigh NC.

About the Event:
the Traffic Jam Flea Market is a great opportunity for artists, craft people, and pack rats to unload some stuff, make some cash, and have some fun. There will be music, food, stuff to do/buy, and an arctic cave to explore. Anybody interested in selling should write to joey@ahpeele.net (vendor fee $10)

Summer to Fall Picks...

Fall is coming fast! We are getting in lots of great Fall clothes and accessories this season. It is difficult with this heat to think of cooler days, but they will be here soon enough. We love this Tibi dress. It is great for now and then later you can throw on this Generra jacket for the cool nights.




This yellow cotton shirt, by Generra, pairs well with this black high-waisted skirt by Theory. Also a must have is this funky multistrand pearl necklace. This is one of Revolver's favorites by Good Girls Studio, "The Memory Keeper".
Then, when the temperature falls, add this fabulous Missoni cocoon, dolman sleeve, multicolor cardigan.

Summer Clothes Galore!

We have been busy bees this week! Pricing and organizing all of our new summer clothes & accessories. Looking for that perfect dress for a wedding, cocktail party, or luncheon? How bout your favorite summer dress to throw for those hot days or just to look cute while running around town. We have a great selection to choose from! Also, we have gotten a rack full of great vintage dresses, skirts, & shirts. Come see us this week before they are gone! Our summer hours are Monday through Saturday 10-8 and Sunday 1-5. We look forward to helping you find it!

Mosaic Spring Music Fetsival 2009

We are really excited about Mosaic's first Raleigh Music Festival! Starting May 28th through June 7th! It will take place right behind our building at Mosaic Lounge. The address is 517 W. Jones St. Raleigh NC. Check out their website for more details at mosaicspringmusicfest.com
