The Changing of the Season

You may have noticed a bit of Weather ADD occurring in the Triangle area.
One day it's a sunny 75 degrees, and the next we're back to frost on the ground and a high of 47.
Confused about what to wear? So were we until we came up with the perfect solution;

Pair your favorite maxi skirt from Spring with your most comfortable Fall sweater!

(Right: Benetton sweater $18, size 2 H&M skirt $12,
size L Oscar by Oscar de la Renta belt $26)

If you're more cold-natured,
trade in your Spring
skirt for a suede maxi.
We love the texture and luxe look.

(Left: Michael Simon sweater $48, size 6 vintage Illia suede skirt $36, handbag $14, Banana Republic belt $12)

Need to be more formal? Sheer and satin materials work wonders with this look, contrasting nicely with playful stripes or vintage-inspired embroidery.

(Right: Proenza Schouler sweater $66, size 6 Jessica McClintock skirt $44, revamped flower necklace $8)

(Below: NEW Lucky Brand cardigan $60, size 6 Alfred Sung skirt $56, belt $10)

P.S. To carry this look into seriously cold temperatures you can layer tights, leggings, or thermal underwear underneath. No one will know!
